Barnsley’s Big Weekend returns to the town centre on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 July with an exciting, packed line-up of entertainment.
Enjoy Barnsley Pride, a family #WhatsYourMove sports day, and the return of the popular Brassed On! Festival.
There's something for everyone over the two days with lots of free activities taking place across Barnsley town centre.
Saturday 12 July
Start the weekend on Saturday with the return of popular Brassed On! brass music festival in The Glass Works Square and Library @ The Lightbox.
Performances will start at 10.30am in the Lightbox and at 11am on the main stage until 4pm. View the full Brassed On! line-up.
Highlights include our headliners Grimethorpe Colliery Band and the energetic performances from Mr Wilson's Band are not to be missed.
Barnsley Pride 2025 will also mark its 15th year in the town. Celebrating the visibility, equality and inclusion of our LGBTQIA+ community in Barnsley.
Performances will start on the main stage in Mandela Gardens from 12pm until 5pm, alongside an 18+ stage in The Garrison from 1pm until 8pm.

Sunday 13 July
Shake up your Sunday with Barnsley’s most dynamic event, ‘What’s Your Move’ day, from 11am to 4pm.
The Glass Works Square and Cheapside will burst into life with sports, dance and so much more.
