Do you love Barnsley? We’re inviting you to get involved and #MakeItYours.
We want to showcase Barnsley in the best way possible, and the best way to do that is through the eyes of those who live and visit here. Whether it be a clip from your latest family day out, a vlog of your day in Barnsley, or a review of your favourite restaurant, we want to see it!
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED
REQUIREMENTS
- All photos/videos must be your own.
- You must have the permission of everyone in the video.
- All photos/videos must be submitted unedited*
*We advise setting your camera to 25fps and filming in 4K

WHAT YOU'LL GET
You will be credited for your contribution across all platforms. Please provide us with your social media account names so we can tag you!
For each piece of approved content you submit, you’ll gain an entry into our monthly £50 voucher prize draw to redeem in Barnsley.
WHERE DO I SEND MY CONTENT?
Please upload your content via WeTransfer.com or to your own cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox) and send to: visitbarnsley@barnsley.gov.uk
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR UGC
By sending content to our email, visitbarnsley@barnsley.gov.uk, you are confirming you have read and agree to the following terms about yourself and the content that you are submitting:
- You are over the age of 18.
- You are the person who took the photo/video, and you confirm that you are the sole owner of the content.
- You have taken the photo/video with the permission of all relevant parties, and it does not infringe the copyright of any third party or any laws.
- You will receive no monetary compensation for submitting your content to us, and you are not entitled to an additional usage/royalty fee.
- You permit us to post the photos/videos across any of our platforms with no restrictions.
- If applicable, you grant us the license to use your content as part of our marketing content. This includes, but is not limited to our website, social media platforms and emails.
- You acknowledge that you can’t approve any further use of the content, or any amends made. If you wish for us to stop using the content, we will take all necessary steps to do this.
- We cannot be held liable for any use before the date that you withdraw your consent.
- We will need a reasonable time to take steps to remove the photo/video from all our marketing materials. During that time, the content may still appear in our marketing materials.
- You understand that sending us your content does not guarantee its use, and we are not obliged to use the Content.
