Penistone Line Partnership
PLP is a not-for-profit Community Rail organisation, and accredited Community Rail Partnership. We are a member of the Community Rail Network working within communities along the Penistone Line to provide a voice about local rail issues and encourage rail as a sustainable travel option. We support station adoption along with rail industry partners and work on community projects to enhance the station environment and help to create gateways into communities. PLP employs a community rail officer funded by Northern, to carry out community rail activities, including education in rail safety, anti-trespass, and careers. PLP can arrange to support community groups and individuals to 'Try the Train' and attend Rail Confidence sessions, and if part of a community project, a feel-good day out! PLP arranges on-train events and activities, including our Ghost Train via Strange Britain. We run free guided walks from stations along the Penistone Line, every other Saturday, everyone is welcome to join us. Find out much more at https://penline.co.uk/
