Barnsley Market will host the NMTF Yorkshire and Humber Young Trader Market Regional Final for the second year running on Saturday 1 August, bringing some of the region’s most talented young entrepreneurs to The Glass Works Square.
 

Following local heats held across Yorkshire and Humber, successful young traders will compete in Barnsley for a chance to secure their place at the National Final in Stratford-upon-Avon later this summer.
 

Part of the nationwide Young Traders Market Campaign, the initiative supports the next generation of entrepreneurs by helping them establish and grow their businesses through Britain’s historic markets.
 

Sponsored by Yorkshire Rose Holidays, the regional final will showcase a fantastic range of young traders, each demonstrating their creativity, skills and entrepreneurial spirit. Visitors can browse stalls, meet inspiring young business owners and support emerging talent from across the region.
 

Awards will be presented at 12pm, with judging carried out by a panel including previous Young Trader winner Katie Slatter, Barnsley’s Young Mayor Tamsin Brooke, David Mills from Yorkshire Rose Holidays and Leonie Briggs, Founder of Amazelabs.

The event will also feature live music throughout the day, creating a vibrant atmosphere as Yorkshire and Humber’s young entrepreneurs compete for a place in the national final.
 

This free event forms part of Yorkshire Day celebrations in Barnsley town centre and offers a great opportunity to discover unique products, support local enterprise and celebrate the future of markets.
