Penistone Film Festival CIC

Penistone Film Festival is an independent, volunteer-led, not-for-profit film festival bringing cinema, live performance and creative opportunities to rural South Yorkshire. Taking place each October across venues in Penistone, the festival celebrates visual storytelling and the legacy of silent cinema, while giving it a modern twist through live music, comedy, theatre, talks, workshops and special guest appearances. Our programme includes international short films, classic cinema with live accompaniment, family-friendly activities, accessible screenings, industry networking and a red-carpet gala awards day. We welcome filmmakers and audiences from across Yorkshire, the UK and around the world, while creating opportunities for local young people and supporting the cultural and economic regeneration of Penistone.
