The Brand New Second Hand! Glass Onion started in 2005 with their Founder, John, selling vintage out of his Grandma’s coal shed in Barnsley. They’ve since grown to become the UKs leading vintage clothing company, processing up to 20,000 kgs of second hand clothing every single week at their vintage HQ in Dodworth. Every piece has been thrown away and was destined for landfill. They also have an in-house remade factory where they recycle damaged and unwanted clothes and off- cuts by transforming them into something new that can be worn again for years to come. Glass Onion opened their first Sheffield store back in 2019 which has since won “Best Indie Retailer In Sheffield” and “Best Vintage Retailer In Sheffield” at the Exposed Magazine Awards. Now with three retail stores in Sheffield and Leeds, UK wide Pop Up events and worldwide wholesale customers, Glass Onion is still based just a stone’s throw from where their story began in South Yorkshire.
