Looking for free family fun this summer? Barnsley’s Big Summer Markets are bringing entertainment, activities, shopping and community spirit to locations across the borough.
Taking place throughout July and August, the markets offer a great day out for all ages. Families can enjoy a range of free activities while browsing stalls packed with unique products, tasty treats and local finds.
Children can get creative with colouring activities, take part in a hula hoop competition and pick up free giveaways, while visitors can try their luck with our stall bingo challenge for the chance to win a Barnsley Gift Card. Face painting will also be available at the Penistone and Hoyland events.
As well as family activities, there will be plenty of opportunities to shop local and discover something new. Traders will be selling everything from homemade cakes and hot sauces to original artwork, stationery, upcycled homewares, beauty products and pre-loved bargains.
