Barnsley will come alive with some of the UK’s leading artists and most exciting performances on Saturday 24 May.

Don't miss a packed day of spectacular outdoor arts, dance, music, circus and family shows at this family free festival. 

It all starts at 11am until 4pm in The Glass Works Square.

There's something for everyone throughout the day including circus performances, live music and dancing.

Witness a thrilling circus performance on a giant bamboo structure, interact with giant 10ft puppets and meet Epico the Dragon.

Don't miss live music from the popular Frumptarn Guggenband and dance performances from Art of Palm Dojo as well as opportunities for children to build their own adventure playground.

There are also two fantastic opportunities for audience members with visual impairments or anyone who would like to experience the Ancient Giants performance through touch and feel or audio.

BAMBOO

BAMBOO is a spectacular high-impact, high-skill outdoor circus production using only bamboo and human bodies.
Ancient Giants

Inspired by ancient South Asian tales a young girl called Shanti imagines an epic battle between Gods and Demons.
Epico the Dragon

Join knight Sir Aurelious Jones and his goblin servant as they embark upon a quest to find and tame Epico the smoke-breathing beast.

Come and build your own adventure playground!
Mughal Miniatures: The Princess and the Peacock

See our proud and majestic peacock and prim and pretty princess as they roam through the crowds.
Frumptarn Guggenband

Mixing brass with punchy percussion, Barnsley’s very own Frumptarn Guggenband play music guaranteed to get you on your feet.
The Living Dress

A stunning 5m tall sculpture adorned with fabrics made by community groups from across Barnsley. 
Art of PALM Dance Dojo

Barnsley’s brightest street dance troupe bring good vibes and heaps of energy to the Garden Party.
Nature-based Printmaking @ the Lightbox

Drop in to the Library @ the Lightbox and have-a-go at block painting with natural materials, plants and found objects.
